Dr Zafar is amazing. In my first visit she diagnosed sleep apnea (which a sleep study confirmed). She also adjusted one of my meds which helped lowering my blood pressure significantly. Dr Zafar is absolutely AMAZING! When I came to see her I felt like I was on deaths door and was close to giving up on getting medical help. Amazing Doctor!Actually found out why my blood pressure was high instead of just prescribing different medicines. A lot of testing done in a very fast timely manner! Actually listens to your concerns. If you have any blood pressure issues she should be at the top of your list to see.

I’m not sure I’ve ever had a more caring or conscientious Doctor I’ve been to. I’ve been to many! She consistently follows up, shares her personal cell# and checks up on you off hours. I am so happy to have found her and that she is so convenient to where I live at Cedar Creek Lake.I could rely on her after surgery while in hospital but did not see the Surgeon as he was on vacation. This has been a fantastic experience for me. I have seen sizeable weight loss with this program. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that has had a hard time losing weight in the past.
I recently had chest/ jaw pains since heart disease runs on both sides of my family I followed up with my PCP. he recommended me to see Dr. Zafar sent the orders to referral coordinator. Well I ended up in hospital few days later for the same issues. Oddly enough, Dr. Zafar was the cardiologist on call the time I was in the hospital. I underwent a stress test and echocardiogram. I followed up with Dr. Zafar she was very professional, polite and very informative. I worked in medicine (non-clinical) for 20 years and my husband has extensive heart issues has seen Dr. at Baylor and Presbyterian supposedly top practices in DFW. However, she told me something NONE of those providers ever told us. Stress test only detect blockages of 70% or more. Wish I would of met her 12 years ago when my husband had so many issues! She said I could still have blockages maybe not enough to cause a heart attack right now but enough to cause symptoms. She is conservative in her approach to invasive procedures. I am grateful she was not quick to run a cardiac catheter on me. Instead, she is running a Cardiac CT calcium scoring test to determine not only my immediate risks but aid her in my future treatment planning. I highly recommend her to any one looking for good provider who listens to thier patients.
Doctor Zafar and staff take really good care of their patients in a professional manner. I was on my way out and they pushed me forward and got everything lined up to get me the help I needed. Dr Zafar intently listened as I explained everything that was happening concerning my health. She took her time explaining all the tests she was ordering and when they would take place. When the results came back she once again took her time explaining all the results and answering all my questions. Dr Zafar is very knowledgable and cares about her patients. I have struggled with blood pressure issues for years.Was referred to Dr.Zaifar for heart issues. She immediately started to focus on the problem also blood pressure. After a couple visits she found the right medication 💊. My blood pressure is now under control. Dr Zaifar you are an angel sent from God.

I came for a cardio clearance for a test. After meeting the Dr and the staff, I changed to this office for my cardio care. Dr. Zafar is very attentive and listens closely to what I am saying. She helps me sort out my symptoms and gives me a solid plan. She also considers all of my medical issues and has agreed to work closely with my Primary Care Doctor.
Dr. Saima Zafar is an amazing doctor. She has an expansive resume and experience in cardiology and recently opened a full- time practice right here in Kaufman, Texas. There are no other full time Cardiologists in the area. We are very fortunate to have someone of her caliber so close to home. After Christmas I began having some cardiac issues. I called Dr. Zafar’s office, and they got me in that day, avoiding a long and costly ER visit. Dr. Zafar and her staff did a full work up on me and she continues to follow me closely, if I feel like I am having an event, I can call her. Each visit, we discuss my progress and treatment options, conservative to advanced, and she listens to my input, together as a team. Dr. Zafar and her staff are very accommodating and professional, and I feel like they already know me as a patient and a person. Dr. Zafar is also a certified weight loss physician, weight control and a healthy diet contributes to heart health, and she is helping me lose weight. Recently had a heart calcium score done at UT Tyler Hosp. in Athens Tx. I am 80 years old with a score in the 900 range. My family doctor wanted me to go to a cardiologist for further testing. Dr. Zafar performed a stress test and other tests. She advised diet and lifestyle changes and prescribed a low dose Statin to help prevent future cardiac problems. Dr. Zafar and her staff listened to all my concerns and I personally feel encouraged about my prognosis. I could not have wished for a more caring doctor and staff.

Dr. Zafar is exactly what all physicians should be. She participates in every aspect of my treatment and visits. Dr. Zafar was present during all of my testing, this made me more comfortable knowing if an emergency happened during my test she could take immediate action. We found Dr. Zafar several months after moving from out of state. I had been in Afib for several weeks and she performed a Cardioversion. Three days later I was back in Afib unfortunately while traveling. Upon my return home we reviewed the details of my 18-year Afib history and treatments including Medications, Cardioversions and Ablations with Dr. Zafar. She felt that something was being missed and ordered several imaging procedures. She was right!Dr. Zafer discovered that both valves were not working properly and I was referred to a specialist in cardiac valve reconstruction at the Baylor, Scott & White Heart Hospital in Plano for further evaluation. Further testing and imaging revealed that Dr. Zafar was absolutely right. The Afib situation was continuing because the valves could not function properly, they were not attached in the correct location setting up the situation where no matter the amount of medication or number of additional cardio versions or ablations; without the valve repair nothing was going to stop the Afib.I am currently in post-surgery healing having been released from the Baylor surgical team. I am back under Dr. Zafar’s brilliant and intuitive care with my heart beating strongly and my energy and strength increasing daily. I am still in and out of Afib, but I still have months of healing and we pray this will self-correct in time. Yes, I am eternally grateful for the miracle performed by my surgeon at the BSW Heart Hospital. But we would never have had that opportunity without Dr. Zafar’s intuition and determination.
