When I first returned to Dr. Zafir’s care, I felt very cared for , well monitored and secure that she would be on top of any changes to my heart issues. As the months went by, it has become apparent that my BP has not been monitored lately , she would tell me something on the phone when I called in, and forget all about it. Also, on at least two occasions I was at the end of the wait list and then received a very brief , rushed visit. I was very satisfied with care that both my husband and I received from her in the past and that is why I returned to her care. I just don’t know what happened.

Let me tell you about Dr. Zafar and her entire staff!! From the first phone call to make an appointment to each of my visits they have been very Caring efficient and helpful. Dr. Zafar is a very Kind Doctor her professionalism and bedside manners are superb, she listens to what you have to say and makes you feel very confident in the medical decisions that she makes to address your health issues. She is very thorough in her assessment of your needs and very prompt to take care of you and your needs.

I came to Dr. Zafar because I promised my mom before she died that I would have my heart checked…so, 7 years later I did just that. Turns out it saved my life! Dr. Zafar immediately saw some abnormalities in my numbers and ordered a battery of tests to confirm her suspicions, and learned that I was 95% blocked in my main artery! Getting me to surgery was no easy task, and Dr. Zafar went to battle with my insurance company; even with their infinite wisdom, Dr. Zafar was able to get my procedure approved and saved my life! In the very short time I’ve been coming to Dr. Zafar, I’ve lost nearly 20 lbs and have extended my life in order for me to make healthier decisions. Thank you Dr. Saima Zafar and all the staff at Lakeview Cardiology in Kaufman!

Dr. Zafar is wonderfully thorough and compassionate, taking time to actually talk to her patients rather than at them. She easily put me at ease and bypasses my usual anxiety response to new situations. Weight is coming off, energy is coming back, blood pressure is coming down as are blood sugars. Mounjaro works! I have had no issues or problems with it. Just drink lots of water and let it do its job!

They were able to see me same day, which was a blessing since the trouble I was experiencing had been overlooked by more than one Dr in the past. Dr Zafar is a danger to patients in my opinion. Overheard things that made me very nervous from her talking with another staff member. Will not return to her and do not recommend. Thankfully her billing department was pleasant to speak with but that was the only positive to my experience. This doctor shouldn’t even have a medical license!

As a black woman often times we are brushed off by medical professionals. Dr. Zafar and her care team is absolutely amazing. Dr. Zafar listened to me and all of my concerns, she went beyond the scope of cardiology and referred me to appropriate specialists I needed. She made the calls necessary to get me seen as soon as possible by those specialists. She checked in with me and called me back when I had questions. She ran ALL the necessary tests to rule out different factors. She took her time and I’m forever grateful to her.
